Barbara Bain has been a resident of Monroeville for almost fifty years. She and husband, Harvey, have three children and six grandchildren, including a twenty two year old grandson on the autism spectrum. She has a B.S degree from The Pennsylvania State University and a MEd from Duquesne University. She had early experience as a social worker and Staff Development Specialist for the Welfare Department. She retired from Gateway School District after almost thirty years of teaching and sponsoring school activities. Barb is the former president of the Monroeville Lions Club and is Chairman of the Monroeville Lions Farmers Market. She has been involved with Spectrum Charter School since 2012, serving first on its Advisory Board then Board of Directors.
