Ms. Lyon was homeschooled and graduated in 2016. After graduation, she started working at a machine shop as a secretary for a year and a half. After that, she worked her way to the machine shop floor becoming a machinist and taking over half the CEDM Department. Ms. Lyon worked as a machinist for about 4.5 years and ended up learning to run every machine in the shop. After the machine shop, she found where her heart belonged in Special Education in 2021 and has been in Special Education ever since. She has worked alongside teachers, led Art Club, SkillStreaming, and Math and ELA Stations, while also growing herself in areas she never saw herself growing in. Her goal is to prepare students to be the best they can be for their future, to the best of her abilities. When she is not at work, she enjoys soaking up the sun in the summer heat whether that’s by swimming, kayaking, hiking, watching her kids play sports or going to the beach!
