About Spectrum Charter School

Spectrum Charter School is a tuition-free, public charter school located on Northern Pike in Monroeville, Pennsylvania.

The school is structured to meet the needs of students who do not learn well in traditional classroom settings due to cognitive, communication, and sensory challenges, including students with autism spectrum disorders.

📍 Spectrum Charter School went back to Global Links for another impactful day of service!This time, we received an informative tour and learned all about the medical equipment and supplies they distribute around the world. The tour really helped prepare us for the task ahead and gave our students a deeper understanding of how important organization and accuracy are in this work.After learning about the equipment, our students jumped right in! Their mission? Spectrum Charter School students are gaining real-world skills through Public Transportation Training!Our students are learning how to read a bus schedule, understand route times, and practice the importance of being on time — and even early — for the bus. They are developing awareness of their surroundings while navigating the world around them, building confidence as they transition into adulthood and beyond.This hands-on experience teaches self-sufficiency, problem-solving, and how to troubleshoot unexpected situations — empowering our students to become more independent each day.To put their skills into action, students successfully caught the bus to Monroeville Mall!We are so proud of the responsibility, focus, and maturity our students continue to demonstrate.
