Dr. Arleen Wheat is an Associate Professor in the School of Education at Point Park University where she teaches undergraduate, graduate and doctoral courses in addition to serving as chairperson to dissertation committees. Prior to joining Point Park, Dr. Wheat was the Assistant Superintendent of Special Education and Pupil Services for the North Allegheny School District. She has held positions of special education teacher, supervisor of special education, inclusion specialist, associate director of special education and assistant superintendent. Dr. Wheat was the founding Chief Administrator for the Spectrum Charter School. She lives with her two Samoyed dogs, Swagger and River in South Fayette and is an avid golfer with two holes in one.
