Extended School Year Services

Spectrum Charter School provides Extended School Year (ESY) services for eligible students in accordance with 22 PA Code and Chapter 14 regulations. Extended School Year services will be considered for each student with determinations made through the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team. Eligibility decisions are based on data collected including progress on goals in the IEP, parent input, medical or other agency reports, observations, and assessment results. The IEP team will evaluate each student’s level of regression and recoupment.

Spectrum Charter School’s Extended School Year program is typically over a four-week period during the month of July and is held at Spectrum Charter School with each student’s resident district providing transportation for participation. Over the four-week period, students work on their individual goals, participate in social opportunities and community outings.
